DigestiveEQ is for general gut support. Ideal for pleasure horses and those in light to moderate work.
If your horse shows soft manure, poor digestion, anxious behaviour, lack-lustre hooves, or a dull coat, their gut microbiome is likely overworked and needs support.
DigestiveHP is the most advanced, High-Performing Gut Support for horses under stress, in high work, competition, or recovering from digestive challenges.
When the signs are intense or persistent - regular loose manure, ulcer sensitivity, recurring colic, anxiety that won't resolve, unexplained low energy - your horse's gut needs more support.
Slowly introduce DigestiveEQ or DigestiveHP over 14 days
- Days 1 to 4: ¼ serve
- Days 5 to 8: ½ serve
- Days 9 to 14: ¾ serve

Serving Size: 65g or 1 scoop (included in pack)
Daily serve recommendations:
- Up to 200kg bodyweight: ¾ scoop
- 200-400kg: 1.5 scoops
- 400-600kg: 2 scoops
- 600+: 3 scoops
For best results, divide and feed the daily serve into two or more equal meals per day (can also be fed in one meal). We also recommend using StressPaste for the first five days when introducing DigestiveEQ.

DigestiveEQ is our everyday option for general gut health, while Digestive HP provides a higher level of support for horses in regular training, competition or travel, or those with a history of digestive challenges.
Think of DigestiveEQ and DigestiveHP as daily, long-term gut support, while StressPaste is designed for short-term support around periods of acute stress.
DigestiveEQ and DigestiveHP support the whole digestive tract every day. Stress Paste is ideal before, during and after stressful events such as travel, competition, intense exercise, illness or changes in routine, supporting gut health, hydration, appetite and muscle function when your horse needs extra support.
Every horse is different, but some owners report changes within the first few days. Improvements in behaviour and manure consistency can be noticed within days, with changes in coat and topline often becoming noticeable from around two weeks.
More consistent improvements in areas such as behaviour, feed conversion, performance and recovery may become apparent after 3 to 4 weeks.
All Poseidon products can be fed to horses prone to laminitis and is suitable as part of a low-sugar, low-starch diet. It contains no grain, grain by-products or molasses and supports overall digestive health.
Our supplements are not prescribed treatments for laminitis and should form part of a broader management plan. For horses with active laminitis, we recommend speaking with your veterinarian before introducing any dietary changes.
Yes, DigestiveEQ and DigestiveHP can generally be used alongside other supplements. However, some ingredients such as calcium and magnesium may overlap with other products, so it is worth reviewing the complete diet to avoid unnecessary over-supplementation.
If you're already feeding another gut supplement with similar ingredients, DigestiveEQ or DigestiveHP may replace it. Digestive EQ and Digestive HP should not be fed together.
This depends on your horse's bodyweight and the recommended daily serve.
For DigestiveEQ and DigestiveHP, a 4kg tub provides approximately:
Up to 200kg: 89 days
200 to 400kg: 42 days
400 to 600kg: 31 days
600kg+: 20 days
For example, a typical 400 to 600kg horse will get around one month from a 4kg tub.
