Not all binders are

created equal

Even the cleanest-looking hay, pasture or feed can carry invisible risks, like moulds or mycotoxins that can affect your horse’s digestion, weight, and overall health.

Unlike most mycotoxin binders, EquiBind offers advanced nutritional support by binding both polar and non-polar mycotoxins in the gut, without binding essential vitamins and minerals. This helps protect the digestive system and your horse’s overall health without neutralising essential nutrients.

EquiBind contains a targeted blend of ingredients designed to bind and deactivate a wide spectrum of naturally occurring mycotoxins. Its patented active ingredient, Elitox®, is a broad-acting, clay-based binder that binds and eliminates both polar and non polar mycotoxins without binding to essential vitamins and minerals.

EquiBind combines magnesium, calcium, Vitamin C, and B-group vitamins to support horses exposed to mycotoxins. Vitamin C helps to support liver function and B Vitamins are shown to aid normal nervous system function, while also supporting appetite loss. Free from added sugars, grains, and fillers, EquiBind is ideal for all horses, including those with metabolic sensitivities.

Elitox® is a broad-spectrum, dual-action mycotoxin binder designed to capture both polar and non-polar toxins without affecting the absorption of essential nutrients. Its advanced formulation offers targeted protection for the gut, helping reduce the risk of toxin-induced digestive or metabolic disruption. By neutralising a wide range of mycotoxins, Elitox® supports liver function, digestive health, and overall wellbeing, without compromising the uptake of important vitamins and minerals.

Magnesium oxide is a highly bioavailable source of magnesium, essential for supporting normal nerve and muscle function in horses. In cases of mycotoxin exposure, magnesium supports digestive stabilisation and normal digestive function. It works to contribute to a more resilient digestive system during periods of stress or dietary change.

Limestone provides a natural, bioavailable source of calcium. In the digestive tract, calcium can help to buffer excess acidity and support gut lining integrity. By promoting a normal and stable internal environment, calcium helps protect against gut disruption and supports nutrient absorption.

Lucerne leaf meal is a nutrient-dense source of fibre, protein, and natural minerals. It helps buffer stomach acid and supports hindgut fermentation. As a base ingredient in EquiBind, it enhances palatability and promotes digestive consistency.

B-group vitamins play essential roles in nervous system function, energy metabolism, and appetite regulation. In EquiBind, Vitamins B1, B6, and B12 support horses affected by mycotoxins. Vitamin B1, in particular, helps maintain appetite which can often be suppressed when feed contamination is present. B vitamins work to help keep horses eating well, thinking clearly, and feeling more balanced in the event of mycotoxin contamination.

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that supports immune health and may help protect the liver from damage caused by hepatotoxic mycotoxins. In horses, Vitamin C is usually synthesised in the liver, but production may decrease under toxin load or liver compromise. Vitamin C in EquiBind helps to maintain antioxidant defences, supports tissue repair, and reduces oxidative stress.

  • When horses are grazing perennial ryegrass, tall fescue or paspalum pastures, especially if it is very short or very long, and especially in late summer-autumn.

Yes. If you already use Digestive EQ or Digestive RP it is safe to add EquiBind as an extra precaution against mycotoxins, especially if you can see the presence of mould or dampness, or in high-risk times when weather is damp and/or warm.
