Equine Health Gut Reset Feeding Recommendations

Digestive RP is our complete daily gut health supplement, designed to optimize condition, performance, and recovery by providing support and protection to the entirety of the horse's GI tract.

Ideally, Digestive RP should be fed 2-3 times per day to help optimize your horse’s ability to digest and metabolize their nutrition, and to provide the best possible protection against common digestive health issues.

Digestive RP provides continuous coverage when fed daily and is a foundational nutritional supplement to be fed as part of a balanced diet.  Positive changes can be seen in as little as 5-7 days although most horses will really start to show appreciable change between 4 – 8 weeks. 

Stress Paste is an oral nutritional formulation designed to be given by mouth or mixed through feed during times of additional stress such as traveling, competition, extreme weather, medication or illness, or during changes in feed and hay.

We also recommend feeing a course of Stress Paste when starting introducing Digestive RP to optimize the effects of both products and to help the horse adjust to the dietary change.

Stress Paste provides more intensive protection and support in times of acute stress and most horses show positive changes within 2 hours of their first dose and when dosed 2-3 times per day will be protected against the common digestive consequences of stress for a full 24 hours. 

90-Day Digestive RP Gut Reset Plan 

Our recommendation for a “gut reset” is as follows:

Stress Paste Administration: 

• Day 1: Give 1 full serve (60 ml for horses over 400 kg, 30 ml for horses under 400 kg).

• Days 2-5: Continue ½ serve every 12 hours (30 ml for horses over 400 kg, 15 ml for horses under 400 kg)

Digestive RP Introduction: 

• • Day 1-4: ¼ serve

  • Day 5-8: ½ serve

  • Day 9-13: ¾ serve

  • Day 14 onwards: full serve.
